報告人簡介：

Professor Guo started his independent career in 1994 at SIOC, Shanghai, China. He then moved to Japan as a RIKEN Fellow (visiting Scientist) in 1996. After two-year experience as an assistant research officer in Institute for Biological Sciences (Ottawa, Canada), he became an assistant professor in 1999 in department of chemistry, CASE (Cleveland, USA), and was promoted to associate professor with tenure in 2004. In 2005, he moved to Wayne State University as a professor (with tenure), and in 2016 he was appointed as Steven M. Scott and Rebecca J. Scott Chair Professor of chemistry and Chemical Biology in Department of Chemistry, University of Florida (Gainesville, USA). He has received a number of awards including NIH Maximizing Investigators' Research Award (2019), Mizutani Glycoscience Award (2008) and New Investigator Award of Carbohydrates. He published >190 scientific publications, and presented >1000 invited lectures over his career. His current research interest are focused on carbohydrate chemistry, glycobiology, glycoimmunology, chemical biology, and medicinal chemistry.
